See a concept image before you build
- New
Creating a General model now offers Concept first: describe the thing, or upload a photo or a hand sketch, and get a concept image before anything is built. Ask for changes until it looks right, then take it with you into the build.
- New
In a conversation, ask to see a sketch first and the assistant draws one instead of building straight away. Say what to change, or press “Build from this concept”.
- New
For shapes that have no real dimensions — figurines, animals, plush toys — the assistant can now try generating the form instead of piling up boxes and cylinders. A generated shape exports as STL only — not STEP.
- New
New conversations now guide you through changing the model.
- Fixed
A new model with nothing built yet no longer shows a blank thumbnail in your model list.
Code sign-in & errors that say what to fix
- Improved
Email sign-in sends a 6-digit code instead of a link. You type the code in the browser you are already using, so the link can no longer open somewhere else and leave you signed out after you clicked it.
- Improved
When a model fails to build, the message now tells you what to write instead. We grouped nine weeks of build errors and rewrote the ones people hit most.
- Fixed
Parts that sit flat and hold against each other are no longer reported as a gap.
- Improved
Export and download moved somewhere you can find without hunting for it.
Delete a whole row from the model tree
- New
The model tree splits parameters from parts. A row of parts made by a loop collapses into one “×8” line, and deleting that line removes the whole row at once instead of one at a time.
- New
A part that cannot be removed directly now offers a “hand it to the assistant” button, so getting stuck is no longer a dead end.
- Fixed
If a conversation is cut off mid-answer, that answer is no longer lost — it is saved as it is written.
Default model switched to gpt-6-astra
- New
Building runs on gpt-6-astra by default now. It is a different generation, and on the same part it makes different calls — you may notice it going at things another way.
- Fixed
Whichever model starts a run finishes it — nothing swaps it out halfway through, so one part is not built by two different heads.
- Improved
When the assistant stalls, it retries on its own — but idle time now has a ceiling, so a stuck run cannot quietly burn your credits.
Dimensions on sketches
- New
You can dimension a sketch directly. Pick two things, the measurement lands on the drawing, and editing that number changes the model.
- New
Drawing snaps to a grid, and the grid changes density to match how big the part is.
- New
Shaped slots are a first-class feature now — go back and edit one instead of redrawing it.
- Fixed
Features and sketches are editable from a shared link too, not just in your own workspace.
Interrupt it while it builds
- New
You can interrupt with a note while the assistant is still building. It picks the note up as soon as the current step finishes, instead of making you wait out the whole run.
- New
Where your description leaves a fork, the assistant puts the options on the table before it starts, instead of guessing and building half a part the wrong way.
- Improved
A conversation no longer turns itself over because you left it sitting. Starting a fresh one is a button you press.
Share links open for everyone & moving parts play
- New
A share link shows everyone the same thing: the full editor, where anyone can orbit, measure and read the parameters — and nobody can write back to your original.
- New
Moving parts can be played right in the page, so you can watch whether a hinge or a slider clears everything on the way round.
- New
Export happens in the browser now instead of waiting on the server.
- Improved
The waiting screen was rebuilt to show tips worth reading while it works, and the phone layout got cleaned up along with it.
- New
Extrude takes a draft angle, so a wall can lean the way a molded part needs it to.
Start without signing in
- New
The home page opens without an account. Describe the part you want first; sign in when you want to keep it.
- New
House exteriors can take a finish — lap siding or brick courses.
- Improved
The browser tab shows the model's name, so a wall of open tabs is still navigable.
Mechanical and house became two tracks
- New
You pick a track when you start. Mechanical parts and houses follow different methods and different checks, and the assistant works differently once you have chosen.
- New
The house track comes with its own building blocks — walls, door and window openings, roofs — so you are not stacking boxes by hand.
- Improved
How hard the assistant thinks now comes with the track instead of being a dial you have to set.
Interference caught on the spot
- New
When two parts pass through each other, you hear about it right there — not after someone tries to assemble the thing.
- Improved
Changing one dimension no longer recomputes the whole model, so the wait got noticeably shorter.
- New
The page shows what a conversation is costing you in credits, while it is happening.
- Improved
Even when a build fails you can still measure and inspect what is there, instead of staring at an empty canvas.
Model tree in & outline out
- New
The model tree arrives: for the first time you can see which parts a model is made of, and remove one from there.
- Removed
The outline is retired the same day. The model tree takes over its slot in the toolbar: a list you can point at and delete from, rather than one you only read.
- New
Sketches got fills and display styles, and shapes like slots can be drawn directly.
- Improved
The assistant's replies no longer leak the internal chatter that was never meant for you; what is left is the part you can act on.
forgent3d skills released
- New
forgent3d skills went live: install it in a local agent like Claude Code and it builds the model, checks its own work, and hands you a 3D link.
- Improved
The adjustable list shows real constants only — it is no longer padded with expressions nobody can read.
- Fixed
Assembly actions moved into the toolbar instead of being scattered across the screen.
The outline arrives
- New
The outline arrives: how the model was built, step by step, in plain words. Click a line and the matching geometry lights up on the canvas.
- New
Revolve joins the feature set, and extrude works out on its own whether it is adding material or cutting it away.
- New
A light theme, and a grid on the canvas so you can tell how big things are.
- Fixed
A shell that fails says so, instead of quietly doing nothing.
Change a dimension from the parameter panel
- New
Change a dimension in the parameter panel and the whole model rebuilds around it — you are moving a real parameter, not stretching a picture.
- Improved
Adjustable parameters are recognized on their own; you do not have to mark them up first.
- Fixed
An interrupted step no longer sits there saying “running” forever.
Holes and fillets moved onto the canvas
- New
Holes, shells, fillets, chamfers and patterns can be dragged out on the canvas instead of being described in words every time.
- New
A ghost preview follows the drag, so you see the result before you commit to it.
- New
Undo and redo.
STEP and STL import
- New
You can import STEP, BREP and STL — bring in a part you already have and design the new one to fit it.
- New
You can scribble straight on the canvas to show the assistant which spot you mean.
- New
A selected part can be added to the conversation, so the assistant knows what you are pointing at.
Parts can be mated
- New
Assembly arrives: pick two faces or two edges to mate parts, then drag to see how the joint actually moves.
- New
An exploded view takes an assembly apart so you can see what is inside.
- New
Parts take their own color and material, and the choice sticks.
Credit top-ups
- New
Credit top-ups went live, and the page shows what you have spent and what is left.
- New
The model's source can be downloaded as a zip.
Split off from the open-source Forgent3D
- New
This platform split off from the open-source Forgent3D and went its own way. Everything below is what changed after the split — by then it could already take a part you described in words, show it in the browser, and export it as a file.
